Job Description

Sphere Solutions, Inc. in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a Software Developer to research, design, and build computer and network software or specialized utility programs; assess user needs to develop effective software solutions using principles from computer science, engineering, and mathematics; and improve or expand the functionality of existing software systems. Individuals will apply advanced theoretical knowledge of Computer Science principles and concepts to perform the following duties:

Job responsibilities and duties include:

• Provide guidance and mentorship to teams and engineers while staying informed on industry trends.
• Collaborate with key stakeholders to plan and define the future direction of technology strategies.
• Use expertise in system development and technology to create solutions that address complex business needs.
• Break down complex business needs into clear and actionable plans for the team.
• Create easy-to-follow documentation like training guides and team processes.
• Ensure everything is high-quality, secure, and meets all necessary standards.
• Break down complex business requirements into actionable plans and designs that meet organizational objectives.

Minimum Requirements:

Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or any related field of study, plus at least one (1) year of experience in the job offered or in any related position(s).

Qualified applicants must also have demonstrable proficiency, skill, experience, or knowledge with the following:

• Agile
• SDLC
• Git
• SQL

Work from Home (WFH) available. Job duties are project-based and performed on long-term assignments at various unanticipated sites within the U.S. which may require relocation at the end of each project.

• Salary: $155,522.00 per year
